Research
All members if the Exeter Hip Foundation are involved in clinical and basic science research. Laboratory based studies are carried out in collaboration with the Universities of Exeter, Bath and the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.
Our clinical research dates back to 1970 at the inception of The Exeter Hip project giving us some of the most powerful outcome data in the world. Modifications of The Exeter Hip, and surgical techniques surrounding it, have been studied in detail so that we are able to prove their effectiveness. We continue to study the results of recent developments surrounding hip replacement and present these to the orthopaedic community around the world.
